Our Kindergarten

We provide a play based early childhood education programme with a strong focus on ICT ( Imformation communication technology ).

At Brookfield Kindergarten we strive to provide technology to all the children.

We have several computers that run child friendly programs which the children are welcome to use, and we are able to assist them if they need help getting started. Each child has their own e-portfollio which families ave access to at any time. We have a Digital Blue computer microscope that the children love using to look up close at anything from bugs to flowers, and they are able to gain a understanding of nature.

We have recently installed an electronic whiteboard and projector, which allows children to draw over images as well as on to the board itself. These can be saved. It can also be used to look at internet pages, photos, and other computer based teaching materials. In the future we hope to connect it via video conferencing so we can have sessions where the children can talk to children from other kindergartens, and eventually in other countries.
