The Interwrite Interactive Board

Our objectives are to provide children opportunities to understand that technology can take different forms as in computers, tvs, telephones, tape recorders, laptops, projectors and now interactive whiteboards.

That people control technology and that it can be used for activities that are meaningful to people.

To keep a useful record of how children use, interact and progress with the new whiteboard.

For children to gain understandings that technology has rules about how it works. These things need to have a source of power to work. They need to have plugs or batteries.

That computers must have instructions either provided by the user or built in to the machine. That the interactive whiteboard will require different ways of organising thinking. For example you can match or sequence objects or other times be required to draw or stamp or paint electronically what ever you wish. You can view objects through the laptop and projector on a larger scale.

We aim for technology to enhance children's learning and for children to experience success and be empowered through learning.
